Yes, you've probably heard of the alternative to traditional removable dentures already. If not, let me provide a brief refresher here. Dental implants can be used to replace full arches of missing teeth permanently, or just secure a loose denture. They have A LOT of benefits, but dental insurance coverage isn't one of them. Dental insurance is one reason why dentures are still so popular.
Those with dental insurance really have an upper hand when wanting to replace their dentures, because most insurance companies provide excellent coverage and will allow replacement every 5 years. Within those 5 years, you can get them re-fitted and repaired (if necessary) usually at a higher coverage percentage, which means more money back in your pocket.
However, we know that not everyone has dental insurance. If you don't have dental insurance, but you're missing teeth and want dentures or are wearing dentures and need to replace them, then this next reason is for you.
Dentures are still the most inexpensive option out there, which makes them the most popular. That reason alone should put a smile on your face. Additionally, other benefits of replacing your dentures can include
An automatic face lift (see photo at top)
Being able to chew food properly
Regaining confidence
Having the best fit possible
By looking at the top right photo , can you tell if this person is wearing a dental implant supported denture or a traditional removable one? The answer is no. So, whatever you're willing to spend on teeth replacement options, the aesthetics will be great. At no extra cost, dentures can be made to look as natural or as Hollywood as you want, the same can be said for a dental implant supported denture. One patient recently brought in a picture of herself as a young professional and wanted Brock to recreate the look of her natural teeth with dentres. This is completely do able and actually encouraged!
